Picked up an Avis rental car here, as it was much easier than heading to one of the major airports. The airport is very small, maybe three or four check in desks. Had friendly service at Avis and will visit this airport again given the chance.
I fly 20+ times a month. After my flight was canceled in Charlottesville, I was transferred to the Shenandoah Airport. NEVER have I had a worse airport experience. My story is too long and I'm too annoyed to write out my whole experience. DO NOT FLY OUT OF THIS AIRPORT! Your flight WILL be delayed!
Our family has had several great experiences with this small airport. We appreciate the convenient location, FREE parking and happy, friendly staff. Thank you SHD, for making it easy and affordable to fly.
The good part is free parking no matter how long you leave your car there. While the bad part is that flights there never departure/ arrive on time.
So they forgot to put our bags on the airplane and the plane had to turn back on the runway. The men's room floor was sticky with urine.
